Obituary of Arch Hillier

In his 73^rd year, surrounded by his family, Archie passed away peacefully.  Loving husband of Beverley of 50 years.  Devoted father of Tina (Rick) and Chris (April) and proud PaPa of 4 special grandsons; Bryce (Erin), Evan (Alana), Malcolm and Ben. 

Predeceased by his father Malcolm and oldest brother Clyde (Bev).  Will be missed by his mother Blanche and his brothers and sisters, Gloria (Joeb), Hazel (John), Judy (Bruce), Goldie (Dennis), Bryan (Alma), Tony (Linda), Fern (Bill), Dereck (Patty) and Kaye (Sherman).

Never will be forgotten by many sisters and brothers-in-law and so, so many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. 

Archie made Shawville his home in 1973 and became an active member of the community.  He was a long-time member of the Shawville RA.  For 29 years, Archie worked at the Shawville Arena and always got to enjoy many hockey games during his working hours.  

Although Archie missed his home and family in Newfoundland, he always made time to visit often.  This was always his happy place by the sea.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel, Shawville, Quebec at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Shawville RA would be greatly appreciated.
