My heart goes out to you at this difficult time ❤
When I think of Stephanie, I think of someone who made the world a better place. She taught us what great strength there is to be gained by maintaining a positive attitude; how to appreciate, share and receive joy from little things in life - clever jokes and puns, her beads and word bracelets, and her peanut butter sandwich purse come to mind; the importance of sharing smiles and laughter every day - she was so generous with that delightful, contagious giggle of hers; and she modelled each day how to treasure and deeply love family - her wonderful, loving, kind, generous family - and her friends. I know Stephanie will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and we are so grateful to have had that privilege!

Janet, Mike, and Rachelle,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I'll never forget Stephanie's beaming smile on an occasion when she was given a yellow balloon. She giggled, of course, and said: "I'm spoiled!"
Stephanie's bubbly joyfulness and her sincere gratitude taught those who knew her much about how to approach life. She lifted us up. Stephanie was joy; Stephanie was sunshine; Stephanie was a yellow balloon.

My deepest sympathy to your family's loss. Stephanie was amazing at recognising people by their voices. She never forgot who people were. Stephanie was full of laughter and enjoyed jokes and riddles. Gone from our sight but not from our hearts.

Sincere condolences to all of you. I remember like it was yesterday when Stephanie and Rachelle joined the QEPS school family. I code named myself The Jingle Bracelet Lady whenever I bumped into Stephanie. She taught me about the brailler and led me to a special braille book titled The Black Book of Colours. Over my teaching career, it was always a classroom favourite. Every Christmas I get out that special charm bracelet and think of Stephanie’s many smiles, and I did so this past Christmas (wondering what she was up to) and will continue to do so every Christmas! Thank you for many special memories…Heather McEwen

You wandered into my head just the other day Steph. I was talking with some friends about how you were always such a ray of sunshine to me in elementary school, especially during the harder times of that period. How you were always quick with a joke and quick to laugh, You will always have a special place in my heart my dear friend. Rest easy.
