Clayton and I started Grade 1 in the very new Onslow Intermediate School in 1951, and we had a wonderful friendship that continued at school and church until my Mother and I left Quyon ten years later. It was a friendship that I recall fondly.
From the pictures and tributes that have been posted, it is clear that Clayton’s big smile and welcoming personality are unchanged from what they were when we were boys in the 1950s.
I extend my condolences to JoAnn, Lisa, Leslie, grandsons, Bob, Linda and Doug, and all Clayton’s many friends. He cannot be with you any longer, but I hope memories of him will continue to grow in your hearts.

We lost a special friend. So many good memories and laughs. Red heads were known for being stubborn Five Quyon boys were playing Junior hockey with Arnprior Packers. Clayton had a car and was the only driver. He would 90 mph. Scared the hell out of everyone. If you told him to slow down he would drive 30 mph all the way to Ottawa from Arnprior.

My sincerest condolences on Clayton’s passing. Clayton (Clancy as I fondly called him), was a great man with the kindest heart. We shared many great laughs and drinks at the Corner Club.
