My condolences to the Wiggins family
My family knew Norm very well. He upgraded the whole interior of our cottage at Norway Bay with his excellent carpenter skills. He always had a great sense of humour. I personally enjoyed his story telling while waiting for Norm to repair my ski doo.
Again my sincere condolences.

We are very sorry to learn about the passing of your father. I was out of town with work, and just feel horrible that I did not get a chance to say good bye. Susie, you and Martin have been on our minds and we want you both to know how much we loved and respected Norm. He is leaving a very big hole in our lives. Out thoughts and payers are with you. RIP.
I copied the comments we made for his Birthday card - as part of this tribute wall - he deserves all these kinds words and more.
Oh my God… How do you even start to describe Norm. Well, I guess you start by listing all the words that come to mind: KIND, HONEST, COMPETENT, DEPENDABLE, THOUGHTFUL, SKILLED, FAIR, EXPERIENCED, NICE, SOFT SPOKEN, RELIABLE, STORYTELLER and FRIEND.
Ever since Lisa and I met Norm, he has been our saviour. I cannot begin to list all the questions over the years that we have directed his way – but I do know they’ve all been answered !!
Norm has gone well beyond the call of duty to assist in making our property a truly wonderful place for the family to escape too.

Trudy and I extend our deepest sympathy to the Wiggins family. I have enjoyed a seventy year friendship with Norm.
I was seven years old when I met this wonderful man at his family's sugar bush. Over the years he was a true and steadfast friend.
We have had many a chat and chuckle while at Louis Welch's store, removing stumps at my Norway Bay cottage or just through his truck's window. Norm always had time for a good chat with his friends. I will miss you Norm.

My condolences to all of Norm's family.
Norway Bay & Bristol has lost a true leader, gentleman who represents an end of an era. From the times at the boathouse to all of the carpentry throughout the area, Norm could be trusted 'to do it right'. We now think of Gail who answered the many calls ; Louie Welch, Wayne Wiggins, George Russell , Pat Reid - the list goes on. Norm was one of the anchors people depended on in the time of need. Thanks Norm !
Kind Regards, Peter Harris

My wife Judy Young and I will never forget Norm's help over the years with our cottage transformation. His work ethic and skills are quite evident everywhere in the Bay and the Pontiac. As well as all that, he was always quick with a chuckle or story about his life growing up here in the pontiac. Norm was a kind man who was always thinking of others and he will be sorely missed by his family and those of us in our community.

I worked with Norm for quite a few years and not only did I learn great work ethics from him but also how to be a good and passionate human being and for that, I will forever be greatfull. The last day I worked with Norm, I told him that if my Dad were still alive, he would have been truly proud of the fact that I had the honor of working with such a Man.
My sincere condolences to the family .

Dear Susie/Martin and families,
I was saddened to hear of Norm’s death but reassured he is now with Jesus and his beloved Gail. I got to know Norm when I would visit Bristol Ridge Pentecostal Church and when he would faithfully pickup Doris Stephen’s (Beattie) for church each Sunday. His willingness to help family, friends and community was clearly evident throughout the area. Please accept my sincere sympathies at this most difficult time. Brian & Jo-Anne Beattie

Norm’s father Francis married my grandmother Ellen Gray in the early 60’s and for a time lived in a little cottage across the street from the church in Norway Bay … Norm was a father figure to me as a young boy and I have nothing but fantastic memories of how patient he was with this hyperactive little kid
My heart is broken and my thoughts are with his daughters at this time
May his memory be a blessing to all those who knew and loved him
