Many happy memories and years as friends and neighbor's. I remember coming from work and as I reached the corner of hwy 148 and Maryland road, I would watch for Sadie, to have a wee chat with her, as she would be walking from the house to the barn with her farm tog on to help with the chores.
As usual Sadie would have that beautiful smile that everyone loved so much. She was a lovely lady, and everyone has lost a great person.
My sincere sympathies to Lindy, Bonnie, Barry, Susie and families.
May GOD bless you.

Lindy, Bonnie, Barry, Suzie, thinking of you these last few days...
Very sorry for your loss but I also feel very happy and blessed to have known Sadie.
What a lady! So warm, kind, always greeting you with her gentle smile.
We had such nice conversations when I would drive down Maryland road and she would be taking care of her flowers. I would stop at the corner, she would come to my car and lean in my window. We would chat, laugh, update each other on our children's mischief and of course talk about farming and our neighborhood. She will always hold a dear place in my heart!

Lindy, Bonnie, Barry, Susie and families,
I can honestly say that my connection with Sadie started on day one of my life with Bonnie being born two hours ahead of me. Sadie and my mom were in the same room in the hospital. The joke was that the babies got mixed up because of my red hair! I am sure that there is not a person that met Sadie and didn't automatically like her. She was so friendly, kind, caring and mild mannered. She had a smile that lit up a room. Sadie will not only be missed by her family, but will be missed by the community. Rest in peace, Sadie.

Bonnie, Barry and Susie, I’m so saddened and sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. I have so many great memories of stopping by with uncle John or trick-or-treating with my little brother and sister. My whole life, my Dad told me that the Gilpins are the best people. The little house on the corner at Maryland and the 148 became a beacon for me. No matter how far I wandered, when I saw it, I knew I was home. My sincerest condolences ❤️
