I am so disappointed that missed the Celebration of Life today. My father's medical appointment ran very late. I have many fond memories of you all when I used to babysit for you back in the 70's !! You are all in my thoughts !

Notre soeur Céline a trouvé ce beau récit de la vie de Donald, elle vient de le partager avec nous. Nous sommes les neveu et nièces de Donatien Lavallée. Notre mère, Mariette Lavallée et notre père Jean-Marc Doyon ont accueilli souvent Donald et son frère Serges lorsqu'ils étaient jeunes à notre plus grand plaisir.

Louise and family,
I am saddened to hear about Donald’s passing. Carole and I will never forget the words of wisdom given to us when we asked Donald to review our franchise agreement with us. He said “ you want it, sign it”, he then smiled. Donald and I shared many similar smiles and stories while working together on the SADC as board members. It’s there that I learned the business side, fun side, family side and joker side. His wisdom was always invaluable as a peer and or friend.
Rest in peace Donald, you were a shining example and leader for all of us to look up to.

I am so sad to read of Mr. Lavallée's passing. I am blessed to have had him as a friend, we participated in several committees together and his knowledge of pretty much everything always impressed me. He definitely was an asset to the Pontiac community, a kind, happy gentle man who always took the time to chat regardless of how busy he was. I saw him not long ago and he spoke of his upcoming trip. He will be missed by so many, my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I remember Mr. Lavallee from a young age. He was the silent partner to the great matriarch, "Lou" Lavallee. The Lavallee's home was always full of kids. We took over the pool, we had sleepovers, made tree forts and played endless games of 'war" and "hide-and-seek". All of this was directly outside Mr. Lavallee's home office. I don't know how he managed. We made quite a racket over the years yet he never complained. He never once yelled at us. In fact, I wonder if he somehow enjoyed all the hoopla.
I will remember Mr. Lavallee for his calm temperment and his easy nature. Rest Eternal Mr. Lavallee. You are a kind soul.

La nouvelle du décès de Donald m’a profondément touchée. En mai dernier, lors du service funéraire pour mon beau-frère,Ted Richard,j’ai eu une bonne conversation avec lui. Il m’a paru en assez bonne forme et m’a réitéré son amour pour notre région et son désir d’y revenir. La nouvelle de son décès m’a énormément surprise! Dans ma famille,on a souvent parlé de Donald.Il était le grand ami d’un de mes frères.Beaucoup se souviendront de lui pour son implication dans un comité ou dans un autre.
Je ne peux qu’imaginer votre peine.
Mes pensées et prières vous accompagnent dans ces moments difficiles.
