Sending thoughts & prayers to the Blanchfield family ..thinking of Brenda & Brian my high school friends. When ever I met up with Barry in OtterLake or Shawville etc. it was always that warm smile of recognition & twinkling eyes, followed with a long conversation getting caught up on the news of the Pontiac or shared thoughts of caring for our mothers as they were in their 70's & 80's.
Barry always left the people he greeted with a warm positive vibe of friendship, smiles & looking forward to the next time we could touch base again. I know I will always remember him because I always looked for him hoping to see him for that special encounter.
I will keep Barry & family in my prayers. Barry will be smiling down on those he knew & loved from his peaceful place in heaven.

Barry was a fellow co worker with me at the Pontiac Community Hospital.
He was a very kind and compassionate person to all his patients as an accompaganeteur to all their doctor and medical appointments.
It was a pleasure to work with Barry.

Beverley, Brenda, Brian, Mark and families,
My heart goes out to all of you! Barry was loved by everyone who knew him because he was kind,friendly and had such a good sense of humour.I always looked forward to meeting up with him because I knew that we would have a great chat .We often sat together at funerals,one year in particular(2006) when there were so many funerals.He said "People will think that we are paid mourners."
The community will miss his presence and many will miss their chauffeur on appointment days. My brother always looked forward to his appointments knowing that Barry would be driving him.They always had lots to talk about.
I know how heart broken you all are and pray that you find comfort knowing that he was so well liked by everyone.
