Dear Roberta, Laurie, Bentley, Glenda and the entire Hobbs family
We are thinking of you, praying for you, and grieving with you.
It was an honour and a blessing to have Uncle Mel (as we affectionately called him) in our lives. His love and his desire to serve God was evident, and his sense of humor admirable. Randy has been reminiscing about all the fun times he, his brother Terry and his Dad Dellie had while hunting with Uncle Mel, Laurie and Bentley at "The Snows" near the Ottawa River. There was alot of pranking and teasing going on ! Uncle Mel and Dellie will likely share many more hunting stories together when they meet up in Heaven! Also Uncle Mel loved hockey and traveled to tournaments with the Shawville Bethel Church team back in the day. So many fond memories to cherish.
May the Lord comfort each of you with your own memories and give to you His perfect peace today and in the days to come
Love Randy & Barb

Dear Roberta, Laurie, Bentley, Glenda and family
We are sad to hear of the passing of dear Milburn. You were special neighbours to us. Growing up we would always see him over at the garage working on the big machinery. In the winter time he would build huge snow piles with the 950 loader so we could dig multi-room fortresses. He was a teaser and Shawville’s biggest hockey supporter. He would be the first person you met when you entered the gates at the Shawville fair. He gave us many fond memories. May your own memories bring comfort to you in the days ahead. We are so sorry for your loss but rejoice in the assurance that he is right now in the presence of Jesus.
Love and prayers

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Hobbs passing. My condolences to Bentley and family. I remember so many times that we talked and laughed together. I remember when you, Bentley came to my house with your Dad and truck to pick up a snowmobile that you purchased from me. Feels like yesterday. Remember all similar times, hopefully putting a smile on all your faces and hearts, my sympathy.

Milburn was a kind, caring and dependable gentleman at all times. He was a devote Christian who attended church regularly, and had a testimony that brought honour and glory to Jesus. I had the privilege of being his Pastor for several years. He was always ready to help when needed.
He loved to hunt and was not afraid of bears!. He felt secure with just an axe in his hand!
I want to assure you Roberta and family that we have been praying for you. One day you'll join Milburn in Heaven and have endless time to visit, and everyone will be free of pain.
Pastor and Mrs. Ron Ellis
