My deepest sympathies Joanne and Todd for the loss of your mom. She will surely be greatly missed. She left a lasting impression of resilience and courage especially in her last months of life. I was touched by the love you returned to your mother through your constant care for her.
She will also be remembered for her sense of hospitality, listening ear, encouragement, thoughtfulness and generosity. On a lighter note, she was always ready for a little adventure, a good shopping experience and liked to be entertained and worship through gospel country music.
During my visits I could see how Marion had a strong desire to cling to the Word of God.
May we continue to cherish those fund memories of Marion!

All our condolences for the loss of your mother dear Todd. We do have a saying in the Middle Eastern culture and it is "the charcoal only burns where it is sitting on" ... you are holding and dealing with this charcoal and it is the grieving of your mom's departure from this life. We are not minimizing this pain in any way and I am so grateful to see you looking at the Comforter of every pain, Who is BIGGER than any charcoal and Who is able! ... Keep focusing your eyes on Him and we will continue praying for you that the Lord's peace will fill your heart more and more.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matt 5:4)
Trusting in Him. GBU dear brother.
The Choueirys.

We picture Death as coming to destroy, so let us rather picture Christ as coming to save. We think of Death as ending, let us rather think of life as a beginning, and that more abundantly. We think of losing, let us think of gaining. We think of parting, let us think of meeting. We think of going away, let us think of arriving. And as the voice of Death whispers, "You must go from Earth, "let us bear the voice of Christ saying, "You are but coming to me!" by Norman McCloud

My wife Marylyn and I extend our sincere condolences to you, Todd and Joanne. As your mother found great comfort and encouragement in the Lord, may you also do so during this time of bereavement, for He alone is our hope and source of assurance that your mother is alive in His presence. In knowing Christ, we can await with confidence the day when we also will step into Heaven, face to face with our Saviour, and be reunited with our loved ones. Thank you for bringing out that reality through the many verses of Scripture that you shared in your mother's obituary.

From the Dunlap Family
My heart is broken on the passing of my sweet little Marion. She may have been small in stature but she had a huge heart. Her infectious laughter, sense of humour and dynamic personality drew persons into her circle. She always put people first and foremost in her life before her own needs. Her kindness towards the less fortunate was paramount in her life.
She was a proud mother to Joanne and Todd and often mentioned the love and admiration she had for her children. She also loved members of her extended family members.
We rekindled our friendship ten years ago and it was instant bonding which Marion commented we were like sisters. She loved fun and especially dancing which she would comment “I would rather dance than eat”.
We spent our time travelling on three cruises and many hours travelling throughout Ontario and Quebec. Most memorable trip was to New Orleans, which Marion spoke of often.
How can I describe the profound effect she had with all she met. She was invited by numerous members of church groups that revered her. She always included me in their social event groups that were enjoyable.
Marion was an extraordinary individual who had compassion and never judged others. She was brave throughout her illnesses as she never complained.
I Love and miss you beyond words. The life we shared will never be the same. Goodbye my beloved one that you can now rest In Peace in the house of the Lord.
Our love and grief is with Joanne, Todd and families.
From the Dunlap family (Carol, Jill, Andrew and Opal).

I remember you girls from when we went tp school in Charteris! I am closer to Lois' age, a bit older, but I was your neighbour on that line, Fred Hodgins' daughter. My sincere condolences for your loss of your sister Marion. May she rest in peace in the arms of God.

My condolences to the family of Marian. We were best friends as young teenagers. She lived very close to us on King Street in Shawville and then on Main St. She did love to sing. She had a large black book with all the words of so many country songs. We used to sing those songs in the back yard. Lots of memories. May all the wonderful memories give you peace at this difficult time..
