Sending since sympathy wishes to all of Aunt Isabel's families. Even though we live in Alberta Uncle Bud and Aunt Isabel were a couple of our favorite relatives. 50 years ago we drove to Shawville with a brand new baby. We stayed at the Elliott home and were treated like ROYALTY. Uncle Bud knew of the best places to tour to or the right coffee shop to stop at. He knew everything about the maple tree orchards and the best hunting grounds. Aunt Isabel kept us fed with the most delicious and huge meals and snacks. She wouldn't let you away with one egg for breakfast it had to be 3 or 4! Isabel was the best mother of all. She took over our wee baby and proceeded to spoil him and she loved every minute of her cuddles and I am sure that Brad loved her cuddles back too! We enjoyed their visits to the west. Many years later we visited again and the hospitality was just like before. They could not do enough for us. Bart was the recipient of a beautiful OLD set of China dishes that had belonged to his grandma Iva. Isabel was generous and always wanted to share.
To all of the Elliott kids, grand kids and greats - cherish the wonderful memories of this very special lady. We can still see her smile and hear her chuckle - especially when Bud would be teasing her! She is now a remarkable Angel in Heaven, once again caring for all those who have gone before her!

Our sincere condolences to my cousins Charlie, Marsha and Barbara, on the loss of your mom, Aunt Isabel, a loss felt throughout the Elliott and Barber families. Aunt Isabel and Uncle Bud were at the very center of the Stark‘s Corners community as they ran the store, which was a beehive of activity for us kids on Friday nights.
Love you Aunt Isabel!

To all the cousins, we extend our sympathies. So sad to think that the last of this generation is now gone. The Elliott brothers were so lucky to all have lived within an arms length of each other. They supported each other in every way. Wives and children all working together, caring for one another, what a wonderful thing! Aunt Isabel had such a sweet smile and wonderful laugh. We will miss her, but she lives on in our hearts and in her children and grand-children. I see such a resemblance in so many and it is true she planted a seed and it continues to grow!

Memories of the family when we moved to Stark's Corners, I was 13, a new place, leaving the city to move to the country! Isabel and Bud, as well as their children were very welcoming. That is where I learned of the "country charm". Kind to strangers, making everyone new feel at home, Stark's Corners was full of this, one big family, sickness-pull together, new baby-everyone's, weddings-all together, funerals- everyone's grief. A very close community, of which the Elliott's were a big part. Isabel was the softest and sweetest lady, always greeted you with a smile, rest dear lady.

I will forever cherish my memories of Aunt Isabel. I was a later addition to the family, but grew up knowing that my Elliott Uncles, Aunts and cousins always had a close connection which I am blessed to be a part of. I loved going to visit with Aunt Isabel and Uncle Bud for a chat or a good game of cards. Their home was full of love and always welcoming. I hold them both close in my heart and will never forget them. To all the family my thoughts are with you.

Aunt Isabel, I will miss your laugh, the look you gave Uncle Bud at church in the pew across from Granny, Grampa and I, as to keep him in line from making me giggle, the lunch dates with Alyssa, Granny and I, so many memories to cherish. You are the last of that generation, who had such an impact on the adult I have become, may you rest in peace. To all my Elliott cousins, I keep you all in my prayers during this time, big hugs.
