I have many fond memories of Uncle Lorne from when I was younger. The picture of him on the tractor brings back good times of visiting the farm, climbing the tire and sitting on the fender of the tractor while I “helped” Uncle Lorne move hay bales. He was a great man who accepted all without judgment. He will be missed dearly.

I’m so sad to hear of Uncle Lorne’s passing. I remember him fondly as always having a smile and also how much he loved the farm and animals. Christmas at the farm, countless euchre games, and being pulled in the sleigh across the fields in winter are cherished memories. Thoughts are with all the Sharpe families at this time. I was privileged to get to know Lorne, Eddie, Steven, and Janet through working on the board and at the Shawville Fair. Lorne was a proud Semmi breeder and farmer. We had many discussions about the standardbred horses and racing.
