Obituary of Elizabeth Griffin

After a long fought battle with Alzheimer’s, Mom has now reunited with the love of her life and best friend, Ken. Betty will be missed by her much loved children, Jack (Colleen Spencer), Carey (Debbie Young), Leeanne (Andrew Howieson) and Vicki (Mike Saunders). She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Candace, Ryan, Melissa, Kaylin, Allison, Kirstyn and Nathan as well as her great grandson Parker. She is also survived by her brother George (Leona) and sister Elaine (the late Donald Risto) as well as brother in law Mike (Connie) Griffin, Patricia (the late Jay Stanton), Hortie (the late Lawrence Stanton) and Joan (the late John Bak). Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec on Friday, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:15-10:00 a.m. Funeral to follow to Immaculate Conception Church, Bryson, Quebec for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all staff at Almonte Country Haven for making sure Mom’s final days were filled with compassion and care.
