Obituary of Mildred Horner

Peacefully, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, after a short illness, in her 93rd year. Wife for 62 years of the late Norval Horner. Predeceased by parents Robert Nicholas & Ruby Horner as well as seven siblings. Devoted mother of Henry (Lynda), Edgar (Susan), Dorothy (Larry Garvin), Donna and Clyne. Dearly loved grandmother of Jeni (Brandon), Melissa (Jaret), Thomas (Samantha), Lina (Bob), Kelly (Ali), Jill (Chris), Matthew (Julie), Kaitlin and Jeffrey and great-grandmother of six. Also survived by cherished nieces & nephews, dear friends and wonderful neighbours. Until her illness, Mildred was an involved and dedicated member of Shawville United Church, of the UCW, the Shawville Hospital Auxiliary and LOL # 1033. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her church, and her community and she will be dearly missed.
