My sincere sympathy to you Cairine and your family. I enjoyed reading Ray's beautiful obituary. I have enjoyed hearing about your dear Mother on our Facebook chats. I remember Ray attending a Kilgour Reunion one time. Rev Leslie Grant informed us that there is a relationship. May all of your cherished memories help to console you as you grieve and celebrate a long life well lived.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ray through my employment at Bella. I was once cleaning her room and upon leaving she hollared at me "come back, I want a junior mint". Sweet woman, impressive. Loved her hat! I will miss her. My sincere condolences to all who loved her.

Dear Cairine and family,
I just had to shed tears for your loss. Ray meant so much to me, especially in my teen years. On some cold stormy nights she called me in to stay in her home to save me the long walk to Caldwell. Her homemade bread and potato pancakes were so tasty. She helped me with sewing projects and gave me my first perm. Not only was she kind and talented but also shared a delightful sense of humour. Now she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Saviour and loved ones, healed, at peace and expecting us to join her. Take consolation in the lovely memories she left us.

Dear Cairine, so sorry for your loss. Even though I only knew your Mom for a short while she was such a beautiful woman and was such a big part of my day at work whether it be sitting talking to her or just walking along side her down the hall on her way to the dining room as she asked me to sit with her and have a meal with her. I will miss her.

Sorry for your loss Cairine. I have fond memories of your mom from Bristol Ridge and enjoyed the visits to your house with my mom and dad. She was always so welcoming and kind. She will certainly be missed but she's gone to a much better place where she will be at peace. Our best regards to you and your family.

Dear Cairine and extended families,
I knew your parents decades ago while working on my uncle’s farm. I then reconnected with Ray while helping organize the 100th anniversary of Bristol Ridge Pentecostal Church. Throughout that summer either I would call Ray or she call me. She had such a great sense of humour which I enjoyed immensely. Ray was also a valuable resource of everything Bristol Ridge and surrounding area that I found interesting as well. That fall I was saddened to hear that she would not be able to attend the anniversary celebrations but fully understood due to distance and age. She lived a full and long life and I counted it a privilege of getting to know her. She is now celebrating her new life in Heaven. She will be missed! Blessings to you all. Brian & Jo-Anne Beattie.
