Dear Beaulieu families & Mary Jane;
My sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of Leo. I was with him all through his radiation treatments in Gatineau.
I work as an Accompangateur for the Shawville Hospital and I had Leo as a patient from the start. What a kind loving and caring man he was. H e talked about his life, family and Chapeau. Mary Jane, I am so sorry, I did not know until now that Leo was your brother.
I was with him when he got the diagnoses on July 16th, when they told him in Gatineau that the treatments did not work and he did not have long to live. What terrible news to give a person, but Leo did not want to be alone and asked me to stay with him. I felt so sorry for him that day.
On our way home we stopped at Tim Horton's and I got him a good coffee. That's the least that I could do. he just said life is what it is and sat there very quiet.
That same night I brought him home to Chapeau. This past Thursday (August 20th) I seen him at the hospital and we had a good chat. I can't believe he passed on Saturday.
God bless you Leo, it was so nice to know you

It is with deep sadness that we, Ross & Trudy Hillier & family, heard of the passing of Leo Beaulieu. Our condolences to his son Philippe, to his sister Mary-Jane (Keith) Chevalier & family and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. I remember when we were living there in 2001/2002 enjoying good times with Leo and Ross recalls him showing him how to play some of his favourite games at the VLT's in Demers Centre and sharing laughs and happy memories. Prayers to those who will be attending the funeral and/or grieving at this time of the passing of a wonderful man Leo Beaulieu R.I.P.
