You were an amazing uncle to me and my brothers . You taught us how to shoot a bow in the air and not have it land on us . You were a big part of our family . I remember the Easter's the Christmases the thanksgivings and all of your birthday's we spent at your house I remember saving your backyard when it caught on fire ... I love you with all my heart and I keep these memories close to my heart you will be greatly missed by us all .. you were a great uncle a great father a loving husband . You were a brother a cousin an uncle a great father I know you wouldn't want tears from me but I can't help but feel the sadness of all of those that have loved and lost you .. you passed doing what you were born doing and that is being a woodman . You were a great hunter an amazing fisherman . And you would answer any questions I had about holding that shitty so my arm wouldn't get blown off . Dear Hodgins Family:
I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Evert. He and I were fellow musicians and we spent time together at the dances at the lions club hall in Bryson.
Evert was a fine singer, player and entertainer.
I am so fortunate that I got to play music with him.
Rest in peace my friend and keep on singing those traditional good old country songs up in heaven.
