Obituary of Lucille Vaillancourt (nee Chaput)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucille (formerly of Desjardinsville, Quebec) on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke, Ontario at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Aurel Vaillancourt. Loving mother of Suzette (Roy), Paulette (Mike Szabon), Liane (Pierre Ladouceur) and Denis (Louise Lafreniere). Cherished “mémère” of Tina, Chantal (James Morgan), Danielle (Cole Larocque) Pettigrew, Chad and Stephanie Ladouceur, Ryan, Marc and Eric Ladouceur, Sophie and Isabelle Vaillancourt. Great grandmother of Brandon and Brayden Petiquan and Gavin Larocque. Step-grandmother of Hailey and Alisha Szabon and Matthew Lajoie. Predeceased by her parents Mathias and Élida Chaput and her brothers Rhéal and Aurel Chaput. She is survived by her brother Edgar Chaput and sisters-in-law Thérèse Vaillancourt and Madeleine Chaput, as well as many nieces and nephews. Due to current Covid-19 circumstances, a private family service will be held. Funeral Mass to follow at a later date. In memory of Lucille, donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
