Thoughts & prayers to the McColgan family.
I remember my mother Lois McCann Kensley (Lester's sister) speaking of Reta & Eddie all through the years. Reta was 3 years younger than my mom. Lois loved Quyon & treasured memories of her friends there.
You were blessed to have your mom for so many years ..there are very few left from that time. Memories are precious to keep alive with pictures & always telling the stories of those we loved. Blessings to your family.

My sympathies to the McColgan family. Reta was Doreen Bradley’s (Murray) cousin both born the same week in 1923 and lifelong acquaintances. A trip across to Quyon always involved a little visit with Reta in her home just up from the ferry. She once told me that she hated electrical storms and used to sit on the back stairs in the house and have a smoke until the sky cleared. She always had a gleam in her eye and a little chuckle. She called Mom for years especially after Dad passed and Mom’s health declined. They kept in touch as long as they could. Reta liked to hear the Bradley news.
