Obituary of Helen Donlan (nee Mercier)

In Pembroke General Hospital, the hospital closest to home and that she was familiar with, on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Donlan (1985) and daughters Elizabeth (Doug Johnston), 1997, and Alice (Louie-Ballerscheff), 2017, by daughter-in-law Donna Lee (2011), her parents, Ephraim Mercier and Mary Brennan, her brothers Clair, Cyril, Neil, baby Francis and her sisters Eileen Burnette, Catherine Marcotte and Marie Robinson. Survived by her children Danny (Colleen), Michael (Gail), Judy (Brian Tierney), Andrew (Liz), Barbara, Anne-Marie, John (Susan Ryan); by sisters Theresa, Elizabeth “Bessie”, Frances, Noella and brother, Pat. Lovingly remembered by 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 2, 2020 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec on Monday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in the Spring. Memorial donations to the Meilleur Residence Foundation would be appreciated.
