Our hearts are heavy since we heard of Pastor Eldon Craig's passing. His caring and compassionate spirit was so evident as he ministered among people. It was easy to converse with him as he cared so much for individuals. His positive outlook was uplifting as he shared experiences and stories with the twinkle in his eye letting you know that he enjoyed life. He was passionate about his love for his Lord and served Him well. He will be missed by so many!! One can only envision his joy in heaven now.
Our sincere sympathy to his wife, Frances, his daughters and all the family. The Lord be with you all and comfort you during this difficult time. Grace and Peace be to you with His strength.
Our thoughts, prayers and love,
(Rev.) Eldon and Joyce LeRoy

Growing up and going to Camp is what I remember most about Pastor Craig. I always looked up to Sharon, Merrilyn and Vallerie as a child, teen and young adult - they were and are my role models for today. It was because of their influence (stemming from Frances and Eldon) that I love playing the piano, and modeled my musical approach after. Thank you Eldon for sharing your family's love of music with me, and thank you Frances, Sharon, Merrilyn and Vallerie for being a second family to me at Camp, and abroad. I am so sorry for your loss, and I grieve with you all today. I apologize I couldn't be with you today due to my work commitments, but please know I am thinking and praying for you all this morning. Passing along my care to you and your families today.

Eldon and his family were pastoring at the North Gower Standard Church when I first gave my heart to the Lord in 1976. I'll never forget how supportive he was of me and I was so thrilled to think that a busy man such as Pastor Craig, would take the time to visit me at home! I always admired his straight-forward style of pulpit ministry and genuine ease with meeting people at their need and assuring them that things would be alright, if they just trusted in the Lord. I will forever miss that powerful voice leading us all in the mighty hymns of the church. Godspeed Pastor Craig. Diana (Parks) Field

Dear Frances and family,
I am grieved by Eldon's passing. He became a dear friend over the past years of my life as I had so many wonderful interchanges with him over theology, practice, the state of the church. I was particularly inspired by his love for his family and his heart's desire to see all of you in good relationship with Jesus before he went home. For a man of Eldon's stature in ministry to have such a focused passion for his family is a hallmark of somebody who really knows the heart of the Father. His love for both church and family inspired me deeply. I considered him a dear friend. I will not be able to be with you in the celebration of his life as I'm out of the country, but know that I'm with you in spirit and certainly in prayer. May God's peace be upon you all; and the comfort of His love touch you all profoundly tomorrow and in the days ahead.

My earliest memories of Eldon, “Sam”, go back to days of helping him and his Dad with the hay before balers were common. We would load a wagon using only pitch forks before breakfast. Now, seventy years later and sixty years of thoughtful and caring ministry, The Rev. Eldon Craig has passed into a new world, where we believe his efforts at spreading good news on this plane will be rewarded. My sincere condolences to all his family.

I had a very special time with your Dad (and your Mom) when they joined us at one of our Alpha sessions. Being the inquisitive person that I am, and knowing that he was a Pastor, I couldn't help but ask him some questions on faith. He was such a gentle, kind man and I could have talked to him for hours. It's hard to believe that that was only two months ago and now he is no longer with us "physically".... yet it is comforting to know that he is now with Our Lord and Saviour and all the saints who have gone before him. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

My sympathies & prayers for Frances & the girls as they mourn the loss of a great man.
I especially remember our time spent on PSE in Churchill, Man. - 1972 - when we ministered to kids, youth & adults & furthered God's kingdom.
I appreciated his humour, his great singing voice & his many messages from the pulpit at Ivanhoe Camp. God used him to tell the story of Jesus.
