Obituary of Hilda Brown (nee Telford)

Peacefully in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in her 89^th year.  Beloved wife of the late Elwin Brown.  Cherished mother of Elisabeth (Dan Hobbs), Ellen (Tom Thayer) and Shelley (Emad Samwel).  Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Heidi (Mark Brown), Trevor Hobbs (Jehanne), Chris Thayer, Melissa (Wayne McCloskey), Jamie Thayer (Mandy), Sarah Samwel and Andrew Samwel.  Sadly missed by her 8 great-grandchildren.  Special thanks to Dr. Lucie Mutchmore, the nurses and staff of the Pontiac Community Hospital for their compassion and care.  Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 17 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.  Funeral  service will follow in the chapel.  Interment St. Andrew United Cemetery, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec.  Family and friends may join us for a reception at Hayes Funeral Home following the interment.  Donations to the Friend’s of St. Joseph Manor would be greatly appreciated.
