Sympathies to Cathy's family. What a feisty warrior this world has lost. Even though her battles were many she always had a joke or uplifting story to tell everyone. I am honored to have been a friend (even though it was a face book friend) . Cathy had a way of including everyone in her daily chats on face book. It was almost as if we were all a part of her family . This morning there was a butterfly that kept constantly flying near my kitchen window and when I went out the door, it flew and sat on my arm...….was that you my friend?

To all of Cath's family: I have never met anyone with the strength, courage,and positive attitude like Cathy. She was a source of inspiration. If I complained about something, I just had to think of her and I zipped it! We were supposed to go over to Renfrew to see Mavis. I know she made one trip with the girls but she made me promise that the two of us would go. And it never happened, which makes me sad. I was limited to going on a Sunday or Monday because of work, and she never felt strong enough to go again. And now I am retiring and could have taken her any time. Oh well, I hope she knew I really wanted to go.
I know you are all feeling the pain of this loss and my only hope is that her wonderful personality and all the stories and memories will carry you through. She was a life long friend and I feel lucky that she came back to Shawville so that we could re-connect. Because of FaceBook, I felt we talked every day!
