Sincere condolences to Lorene's family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lorene was a special friend, a very talented artist and a mentor to many.
I was fortunate to have spent many hours under Lorene's mentoring and guidance in watercolor painting. I will cherish those memories along with the enjoyment I get from the paintings I purchased, which she created.
As I continue my journey as an artist I will always remember her through my own paintings. She always said "let those happy accidents become part of the creation".
Her laugh was happy and infectious.
May she rest in peace now.
Sincerely
Kay

I deeply admired Lorene for her knowledge, her expertise as an artist, and for being a feisty woman who never said "can't". I consider her a mentor. She joined me and five other female Pontiac-area artists to found the Pontiac Artists' Studio Tour. We "Seven Sisters" worked hard together in 1989 and in June 1990, the first Tour was launched. This year, participating artists celebrated the 30th annual Tour.
Both my husband Eric and I give our sincere condolences to Lorene's family. We both enjoyed chatting with her and Doug about such Pontiac places as the Moss Molybdenum Mine: they were eager to share stories and local lore, and we appreciated them for being patient with our questions.
Eric and I will genuinely miss Lorene. It was a distinct pleasure to visit with her and be able to tell her how much I valued her as an artist-mentor while she was in hospital.
Most sincerely,
Katharine and Eric Fletcher

Lorene taught me to see colour and its’ many hues. I left her home on Green Lake after my first lesson enthralled with my new eyes for colour. She even forgave me when I Trumped her Ace. She found her passion in life and shared it❤️

What a vibrant, wonderful woman. Always getting me to try her new recipes. Most were soo good but I remember an eggplant dinner I just couldn’t get down. Lorene just chuckled. And remember her looking after me in Shawville one time when Sheila and I were about 16. Just the flu. I spent the day sipping ginger ale and reading Mad magazines in bed. I felt better too quick!! Loved and admired you Lorene. RIP love Cathy.

To the family of my very dear friend,
Please know that this amazing woman changed my life... mentored me, guided me and inspired me. She knew exactly when I needed coaching or simply a word of encouragement. I treasure each moment I spent with her, I treasured our recent painting time and I treasure her memory, her funny laugh and sparkling eyes but most of all her friendship. I will miss her but I know she lives in each brush stroke I take, because she is part of me.

My deepest sympathy to all of Lorene's family. I got to know Lorene as a worker at St. Joseph's Manor and have one of her drawings that she made for everyone at the Manor
I will cherish it always. I have missed our morning chats as I arrived she would always shout out Good Morning to me from her window. God Speed Lorene and we shall miss you. Sandra
