Obituary of Sheila McDowell (nee Richardson)

In hospital, Shawville, Quebec, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.   Beloved wife of Charles “Charlie” McDowell. Daughter of the late Ebert Richardson and the late Kathleen Hodgins. Cherished mother of Catherine, Joanne Hartnett (Ron), Susan Leach (Gary), Chris McDowell (Kelena) and the late Margaret Rawlins (Lee).  Grandmother of Tommy, Cynthia, Katie, Mitchell, Matthew, Jennifer, Josh and Ryan. Step grandmother of  Bradley, Erin, Michael and the late Chris. Great grandmother of Stuart, Logan, Grace, Aaron and Kiera. Dear sister of Royce Richardson (late Joyce), Claire Lunam (late Henry), Marilyn Angus (Norris), late Brenda Murphy (Bert), Diane Keon (late Joe), Barney Richardson (Heather), Murray Richardson (Gloria) and Mona Newton (Earl), Myles Richardson (Marsha), Michael Richardson (Janice) and Rick Richardson (Bonnie). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and special friend, Marion Widdicombe.  Sheila was an active member of the Shawville United Church.  Cremation.  There will be no visitation.  Funeral Service will be held in Shawville United Church, 410 Main Street, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  A time of fellowship will follow in the church hall.  Donations to Shawville United Church would be appreciated.
