Mrs.Younge was a wonderfully kind and also so welcoming to myself and many of my Welsh friends. She and R.L. were the original contacts between our 2 countries and the cause of several romances!!

What a lovely person. I am so pleased that I had a visit with Bob and Lorna a few years ago in April. She was very bright and knew everything that was going on with her family across numerous generations. Lorna was a big part of the success of the famed Willow Hollow Jersey herd and I am sure she was implicated with the ongoing beef herd. Bob and I had a drive around the farm that day and visited with Rick at the barn. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dear Bob and family:
We were so sorry to hear the news of Lorna's passing.
We have many good memories over the years of times with the Younge family when travelling with Hon. Eugene Whelan to the Shawville area. Bob was our guide when visiting farms in the area to discuss agricultural issues. Both Bob and Lorna always welcomed us into their home, sharing their fine hospitality and friendship, while promoting agriculture and their community.
Even after "the good old Whelan days" we enjoyed stopping in at the farm when in the area at the Shawville Fair, curling bonspiels, or CHEO events.

We were so saddened to hear of Lorna's sudden passing. Although Terry has known Lorna all his life from being a neighbor and also, working for R.L., I only met Lorna as a young adult. We had many phone calls between the Municipality office and the school tax office. Lorna was always knowledgable, helpful and kind; I learned much from her. We also took French classes together at night school. She was always so proud of her family, her heritage and her community. She will be missed.
