Our sincerest sympathy to all the family. We were fortunate to have her as our neighbour for the years we spent in Bristol, and will never forget her kindness. She was a wonderful friend and we will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you find comfort in knowing that she has joined her beloved husband, and I am sure Marjorie is making buns and organizing eucher games for all the angels in heaven. Rest in peace, my friend.

Our Great Aunt Marjorie was always a pleasure to see, with her sunny smile and notable sense of humour. As a child, some of my most vivid memories are of her greeting her brother Gordon (my grandpa) and I at the Bristol church. She was always dressed vibrantly, and she was not someone you could easily miss, as both her love of singing and personality were big, bold and beautiful. She'd often ask (myself or my sisters) if we smoked cigarettes, to which we'd always and obviously reply "NO." She'd then slip us a small monetary reward and off we'd go, beaming happily that Aunt Marjorie was proud of our wise decision not to smoke (even though this began at the age of 7), and also at the thought of all the candy I could now buy at Carmichael's or Pine Lodge. I remember visiting her with my mom about 7 years ago...then in my late twenties. She looked at me and asked "So...do you smoke cigarettes?" Wherever you are now, Aunt Marjorie, my answer's still the same, and I probably have you to thank for it.
You will be missed. xoxox

It seems as though we go through our daily routines and not really be aware of how it makes memories for others. As a kid I thought it was a long walk up that hill in the winter when we were sent for eggs. But my memories of Marjorie (funny we never called her mrs smith) meeting is at the other end with fresh warm buns and homemade jam made the walk worthwhile

Marjorie was an incredible woman - heart of gold, sweet as pie and one of the best bakers Ottawa Valley has ever seen. Marjorie churned her own fresh butter and served it with soft, melt-in-your-mouth buns and a smile. She also made fantastic pumpkin pie made with fresh pumpkin - If you made pumpkin pie out of canned pumpkin for Marjorie, you just might be put in your place!
Majorie was a wonderful great aunt. I wish we saw her more often - she was a ray of sunshine but tough as an ox! A truly lovely person with a blessed life and family.
Sincerest condolences to Dale, Kathy, Bill, Sheila and your families, as well as my granny Doris and Aunt Jean. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To all of Marjorie's family. Sincere condolences to you all. I got to know Marjorie since she moved in to St. Josephs manor I was in charged of cleaning her room. So every Friday she would sit in her chair and we would have chats about her life past and present I loved to hear her stories and how she would get excited when family would come to visit. She endured a lot with health problems but plowed thru with grace and style. I feel very privileged to have known her even for a short time and I know I will miss her

I didn't have a chance to meet all of the family but please accept my sincere condolences. I worked at the Manor in Campbell's Bay for 2 years and grew very fond of Marjorie. We always had a good chuckle together. She would refer to me as the "smiley one" as she said she loved to see my smiling face. She often would remember my name fondly because it reminded her of her grandson Andrew and when I told her I was a Smith as well....well then she said you're of definite good stock! lol She was a very sweet woman with a very warm spirit. And I know I am better for knowing her, even if only for a short while. My prayers are with you all during this time.
