Obituary of Lionel Racine

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Lionel , September 12, 2018, in hospital at the age of 90.  Son of the late Ferdinand Racine and Armandine Pelletier.  Beloved husband of 67 years of Geneva Blaskie.  Loving father of Pauline (Réjean), Lionel “Sonny” (Wendy), Ken (Diane), Colette (Wayne) and Pat (Barb).  Cherished Grandpa of Jason, Ron, Ryan, Julie, Sylvie, Tim, Derek, Jessica, Patricia, Cody and the late Chantale and 14 great grandchildren.  Brother of Dorias, Lisette, predeceased by Aldege, Rheal and Laurette.  Son-in-law of the late Peter Blaskie and Emma Gauthier.  Brother-in-law of Stella (late Ray), Rita (late Raymond), Victor (Rachelle), Johnny (Helen), late Peter Jr. and Hall.  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Dad was an active member of the Otter Lake Golden Age Club, enjoying many card parties.  Special thank you to his family doctor of 38 years, Dr. MacLellan, the staff of the Shawville Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the Otter Lake Fire Department for all of their assistance.  Friends may call in St.Charles Borromeo Church, Otter Lake, Quebec, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in parish cemetery.  In memory of our Dad, donations to the Otter Lake Fire Department would be greatly appreciated.
