Obituary of Marie Drapeau (nee Laroche)

In hospital, Shawville, Quebec on April 15, 2018 at the age of 88 years.  Born July 18, 1929 in Fort Coulonge, Quebec.  Marie married Denis Drapeau (dec. 1986) on Aug 1,1950. They had 10 children-seven boys and three girls. Predeceased by her son Marcel and two grandchildren Jordan and Simon.  Daughter of the late Jules and Maria Laroche of Fort Coulonge.  Predeceased by her brothers Leo, Joe, Jules, Willard, Donat and  Robert and sister Theresa.  Survived by her brothers and sisters Cecile (late Jean-Guy Trudel), Margaret (late Placide Laroche), Yvette (Richard Pilon), Ronald (late Eilleen), Leonard (Carole), Albert (Zita) and many nieces and nephews. 

Loving mother of Roderique (Linda), late Marcel (Margaret), Larry (Caroline), Genevieve (Edward), Joseph (Rachelle), Levi (Sylvie), Denis (Cindy), Denise, Robert (Elena) and Suzanne (Danny).  She will be missed by 33 grandchildren- Julie, Genevieve, Luc, Nate, Cory, Meagan, Philip, Candace, Vivian, Logan, Catherine, Nigel, Peggy, Melanie, Justin, Christopher, Natalie, Nadine, Joey, Rosalie, late Simon,Tyler, late Jordan, Hailey, Shawn, William, Christian, Stephanie, Denis, Robert, Travis, Meagan and Darcy and by her great-grandchildren Cadence, Grace, Seth, Darion, Rowan, Kate, Roderick, Hannah, Kailey, Phoebe, Finley, Kassandra, Morgan, Ariana, Aubrey, Jesse, Tenley, Tayla, Benton, Jayden, Jacob, Logan, Quinn, Madelyn, Donavon, Greyson, Bella, Beckett, Jake, Noah, Izzy, Annabelle, Evelyn, Olivia, Lexy, Isabelle, Alex, Evelyn, Chloe, Hudson and Styles and great-great granddaughter Adisyn.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  Funeral Mass will be held in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec on Friday at 11 a.m.  Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
