We were deeply sorry for your loss. We knew Larry from our long-time association with the RCMP Curling Club. He was a real icon at the club and was loved by all of us curlers.
As a past member of the RCMP Curling Club executive, I saw Larry and his dedication to the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. And, as one of the bartnders, he was an excellent host and bon vivant.
We will miss him.

We were shocked to learn of Larry's sudden passing. Many times I have thought about how important his role was at the Club while I served as the manager. In all his many years there he became a friend of so many members, and curlers from other clubs within the city and the surrounding area. He was always available to help everyone who needed assistance with cars that wouldn't start or became stuck in the snow. Countless little rockers and junior curlers received guidance and sometimes, discipline, while under his watchful eyes on Sunday mornings. Larry, you could never be thanked enough for all the assistance you provided the club managers over the years. Rest in Peace my friend.

We were heartbroken to hear that Larry has left us. We've known him for the 5 years we've been members at the RCMP Curling Club and he's been an absolutely delightful character from day one. He always had a smile; a funny remark; and a helping hand. We will miss him so very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Laurie and all of Larry's family. Rest in peace Larry.

We are so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Don just saw him at the closing senior's banquet last Thursday. We will miss his smiling face on Tuesday and Thursdays! Larry always had time to help Don find a new gripper, some tape for his gripper, and labels for his gripper. Larry always answered Helen's phone calls to the Club, and cheerfully passed on messages to Don. A real class act as well as an authentic character. We will really miss him.

People like Larry are put on this earth for a reason. He truly was the best. From the first time we met when I was 13, to the years of serving bar with him at the club, to recent days. He always had time for you and always with a smile. His sense of humour and his stories from Ladysmith were great. He was a true friend and will be missed. To the family, our prayers and heartfelt condolences. Till we meet again Larry. Rest in peace my friend.

The RCMP Curling club and the thousands of curlers that have passed through their doors over the past years have lost a true, one of a kind friend...words can't express how much he'll be missed.....but, knowing Larry he would probably say ¨don't cry because I'm gone....smile because I was here !"
Rest in peace Larry.....you've earned it.
