Obituary of Erma Thelma Hill (nee Sparling)

With her girls by her side with broken hearts on Thursday, January 25, 2018 Erma passed away peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario after a courageous battle in her 86^th year, her strength and determination kept her going till the end. Daughter of the late Austin Sparling and the late Ida Cluff. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Hill. Cherished mother of Joy (Tony) and Jill (Mark). Amazing Nanny of Tyler and Shelby. Survived by her sisters; Meryle (Hilliard Rebertz), Joyce (Hubert Beaudoin), Lynn (Lloyd Kluke), Norma (Claude Bertrand), brother; Bobby (Joanne) and half-sister; Leona Cray. Predeceased by her brothers; Warren (Florence) and Wilson (Anita), sisters; Mildred (Willard Lance) and May. She was a special “Aunt Erma” to many nieces and nephews. Erma will be sadly missed by her extended family in the United-States. Resting at the Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in St. James Anglican Church, Otter Lake, Quebec on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment St. James Anglican Cemetery, Otter Lake, Quebec. Donations to the St. James Anglican Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
